This week we wrap up our Make Some Waves series by spending time in the book of 1 Corinthians. The only way we are going to make some waves in our faith is if we actually go out and do something. We have been given something to share - the gospel of Christ - now we need to share what we have, and in doing so, we will contribute to this 2,000-year-old movement called Christianity.
A few verses in 1 Corinthians 15 give us a pattern for our to do that. Paul tells us that what he gives to others is only what he’s been given. And what he’s been given is the truth about Jesus: He came to earth, died, was buried, rose again, and appeared to many. That’s the gospel, and that’s what Paul shares.
The pattern is set: we know the truth of Jesus Christ, and now we need to share it with others.
And let’s not forget the reason why we know the truth in the first place - it’s to pass it on. It’s to make some waves, Church! We know this truth for the benefit of others. May God guide us as we implement Paul’s pattern of knowing and sharing.
Don’t forget our Ministry and Mission Fair Sunday morning from 9:30-12:30pm, and the Pool Party from 4:30-7:30pm Sunday evening.
